/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\ /!\ /!\ This is called: Gathering at Doors ! /!\ for the purpose of symbolizing an ACTION of Collecting "Tickets Treats" from a "Tiles Housing". /!\ (unless otherwise stated) This applies mainly to a game in STANDARD or SOLO version with or without variants. /!\ For a SOLO game, just replace "the CandiesCollectors" by the term: YOU! /!\ The rest is identical to a STANDARD game version. /!\ /:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\/:!\/!:\ 1) This type of gathering is started when a CandiesCollectors 1.a) Has reached the end of his or her turn (unless otherwise indicated) on the same space as a "Tiles Housing" when moving his or her "Pawns Characters" to a piece of the "Game Board". ... where the arrow of said "Tiles Housing" points (is linked) to or on said square ... The CandiesCollectors may decide at this time whether or not to attempt a Gathering at Doors. Gatherings at Doors are a type of gathering that require less game components (resources) compared to Gathering in Street. But sometimes... There will be loss instead of gain of "Tickets Treats". A Gathering at Doors from a "Tiles Housing" is fairly procedural. Proceeding to step (2) indicates acceptance of a Gathering at Doors from the CandiesCollectors TIPS: - Do not attempt Gatherings at Doors on a "Tiles Housing" unless you are sure you have at least a 90% chance of closing it with a "successful" OR "invalid" status. - Starting with smaller and more accessible ones is sometimes better (@_@). - Don't be greedy, the treats are worth it, but sometimes the risk is too great (T_T). 2) The CandiesCollectors who does the Gathering at Doors must 2.a) Know that unless otherwise specified, "Tokens Masks" ARE NOT USABLE IN A Gathering at Doors. 2.b) Consider these situations: [0] Then the CandiesCollectors must choose only one of them at his or her convenience The modifier for the "Tickets Tricks" must be applied by the "Sheets Costumes" as stated in the chapter --- Understanding, mechanic and structure of a game => [Component relative to "Sheets Costumes"]. When a Gathering at Doors reaches this stage ... ... it is IMPOSSIBLE AND FORBIDDEN TO STOP THE PROCEDURE: continue the Gathering at Doors at all costs, go to step (3)! [1] The CandiesCollectors has no "Tickets Tricks" in his or her Inventory Then the CandiesCollectors has to draw only one "Tickets Tricks" in accordance with the chapter --- Understanding, mechanic and structure of a game => [Component relative to "Tickets Tricks"]. The "Tickets Tricks" modifier must be applied by the "Sheets Costumes" as stipulated in the chapter --- Understanding, mechanic and structure of a game => [Component relative to "Sheets Costumes"]. When a Gathering at Doors reaches this stage ... ... it is IMPOSSIBLE AND FORBIDDEN TO STOP THE PROCESS: continue the Gathering at Doors at all costs, go to step (3) ! [2] The CandiesCollectors has one or more "Tickets Tricks" in his or her Inventory Then the CandiesCollectors must choose one of them at his or her convenience The modifier of the "Tickets Tricks" must be applied by the "Sheets Costumes" as stated in the chapter --- Understanding, mechanic and structure of a game => [Component relative to "Sheets Costumes"]. When a Gathering at Doors reaches this stage ... ... it is IMPOSSIBLE AND FORBIDDEN TO STOP THE PROCESS: continue the Gathering at Doors at all costs, go to step (3) ! 3) The Gathering at Doors requires these analyses 3.a) Each "Tiles Housing" has two numbers, one on the Left, and one on the Right, as pre-stipulated in the chapter --- Understanding, mechanic and structure of a game => [Component relative to "Tiles Housing"]. In a Gathering at Doors: ~~ The number on the Left symbolizes the "Difficulty" of the "Tiles Housing". ~~ The number on the right symbolizes the "Gathering" of the "Tiles Housing". The "Difficulty" indicates an exact number that must be reached to win the value indicated by the "Gathering". 3.b) Consider these situations: [1] If the "Difficulty" of the "Tiles Housing" indicates: 0 (zero) Then the gathering is successful by default, without doing anything. NOTE THAT: This measure was taken for balancing measures and to allow even the most resource-poor CandiesCollectors to collect some "Tickets Treats", so as not to frustrate them. IMPORTANT: This will NEVER be a VARIANT, in the sense that it is a balancing act in the game, in Gathering at Doors ACTION. However, do not hesitate if you wish to complicate and frustrate your CandiesCollectors to impose on them a need to have 1 "Tickets Tricks" of value 1, to get to 0. Go to step (4.b:[1]) [2] If the "Difficulty" of the "Tiles Housing" indicates a number above: 0 (zero) Go to step (4) 4) The Gathering at Doors continues according to the analysis of the two numbers encountered in (3). 4.a) The "Difficulty" specified on the "Tiles Housing" indicates the number to the accuracy that the CandiesCollectors performing the Gathering at Doors must have. 4.b) The "Difficulty" can be achieved by summing up the "Tickets Tricks" (either previously drawn in 2 or 3). (either previously drawn in 2.b:[1] ; or previously chosen in 2.b:[2] ) And to reach this number more easily, Apply the "Tickets Tricks" modifiers to the "Sheets Costumes" in the Inventory of the CandiesCollectors. This according to what is stated in the chapter --- Understanding, mechanic and structure of a game => [Component relative to "Sheets Costumes"]. And finally, if necessary, the CandiesCollectors who performs the Gathering at Doors has the possibility to use the "Tickets Tricks" available from his Inventory... in order to add or subtract each value of "Tickets Tricks" (separately, in case of possession of one or more, it does not matter). The "Tickets Tricks" invested in this step ... ... are to be dissociated from the Inventory of the CandiesCollectors who perform the Gathering at Doors because they are now in Commitment. The purpose of this investment is ... ... that at the end, the sum of "Tickets Tricks" invested and thus under Commitment, for the Gathering at Doors reaches exactly the value represented by the "Difficulty". When the CandiesCollectors decides to stop investing, there are three possible situations at that moment. [1] | successful | If the CandiesCollectors manages to reach the value indicated by the "Difficulty" with his or her investment, THEN ... ... the Gathering at Doors will be in the state: | successful | "Youpi, the inhabitant seems generous! In this case ... ... the CandiesCollectors will draw $x "Tickets Treats" from the "Tickets Treats" pile. ~~ $x is then equal to the "Gathering" on the "Tiles Housing" from the successful Gathering at Doors. The "Tickets Treats" thus recovered are to be drawn As stated in the chapter --- Understanding, mechanic and structure of a game => [Component relative to "Tickets Treats"]. Then go to step (5). [2] | invalidation | If the CandiesCollectors does not manage to reach the value indicated by the "Difficulty" with his or her investment, BUT ... ... is ABOVE the value indicated by the "Difficulty" the Gathering at Doors will be in state: | invalidation | "Well, that's for another time, damn! In this case ... ... then go to step (5). [3] | failed | If the CandiesCollectors does not manage to reach the value indicated by the "Difficulty" with his or her investment, BUT ... ... is BELOW the value indicated by the "Difficulty" the Gathering at Doors will be in the state: | failed | "Quick, save yourself, the inhabitant seems to be angry!!!" In this case ... ... the CandiesCollectors will lose $x "Tickets Treats" from the "Tickets Treats" pile. ~~ $x is therefore equal to the "Gathering" on the "Tiles Housing" from the successful Gathering at Doors. The lost "Tickets Treats" must be returned to the "Tickets Treats" pile As stated in the chapter --- Understanding, mechanic and structure of a game => [Component relative to "Tickets Treats"]. Then go to step (5). 5) The end of Gathering at Doors is as follows 5.a) The "Tickets Tricks" drawn or chosen must be put back into play (so either previously drawn in 2.b:[1] ; or previously chosen in 2.b:[2] ) In addition, any "Tickets Tricks" under Commitment for this Gathering at Doors will be returned to the "Tickets Tricks" pile... ... As stated in the chapter --- Understanding, mechanic and structure of a game => [Component relative to "Tickets Tricks"]. Unless otherwise specified, the "Sheets Costumes" in the Inventory of the CandiesCollectors who performed the Gathering at Doors will be retained ... ... and unless otherwise noted, whether or not his or her "Tickets Tricks" modifier has been applied. 5.b) The CandiesCollectors is at this time fully aware of the state resulting from this Gathering at Doors. The state has been defined in (4). 5.c) The CandiesCollectors having finished the Gathering at Doors returns to the current phase where he or she was before triggering the Gathering at Doors.
